Ethereum (ETH) challenger Solana (SOL) rolled out a new carbon emissions tracker on Friday in a bid to be more environmentally conscious. The Solana Foundation says it’s the first smart contract blockchain project “to have its emissions measured in real-time.” It developed the emissions tracker in partnership with Seattle-based carbon data platform Trycarbonara.
