Peaks of engagement have been registered in the Web3 world in the last December. Why? The answer lies in XMas Game Fest, the exclusive Web3 gaming tournaments by AtomicHub, Wombat and powered by Intraverse, which involved the biggest NFT projects on the WAX ecosystem, with a total prize pot of over 12,000$!
With more than 123,000 game sessions and 7 millions of impressions on X, sponsored by WAX, XMas Game Fest involved 15 NFT projects on WAX blockchain across 4 intense elimination rounds that took place from 11th to 22nd December, with the final victory of Aphelium community (https://twitter.com/ApheliumGame) which raised a crazy score of 886,600 in the final round!
Players competed for more than 1800 hours in 1vs1 battles in a street-fighter gameplay hosted on the Intraverse platform through a unique 3D avatar representing their community. The gaming arena hosting the duels has been arranged for Christmas with a big Christmas tree, a lot of gifts, decorations and falling snow!
In addition to the 1vs1 matches, players engaged in a wide range of activities to do on social or entering partner platforms. In particular, people tested their knowledge about participating NFT projects through quizzes, they have been invited to join new Discord servers, they could participate to a referral campaign ad hoc designed by KINE – a no-KYC decentralized exchange – and they could compete in a mapping challenge through the Over The Reality (OVR) App – an AR metaverse focused on the creation of new experiences for users combining physical and virtual worlds. It was a blast, a total of 10,015 social quests have been submitted, with more than 320 new users downloading the OVR App and 100+ people joining the KINE campaign.
Do you think something is missing? As Intraverse aims to improve earning opportunities for players, a real Referral Board has been launched for the first time during XMas Game Fest. A dedicated leaderboard has been designed giving people the opportunity to win up to 300$ by bringing their friends in the tournaments: simply, for each user joining with your referral and winning a match, your referral score increased by 10% of your friend’s points.
That’s not all! Engagement never stopped. Two weekly hours have been dedicated to a Twitter Space with events’ partners to discuss the overall experience and to make also bigger the exposure for both sponsors and participating NFT projects, who were asked to join the stage in order to introduce themselves and to participate in special giveaways. Also, a Mega Rumble Chain has been organized at the end of each round on Discord: a battle royal simulator that has been launched sequentially across partners Discord creating a chain of warriors which generates a lot of traffic moving across different Discord servers in order to win exclusive NFTs.
The Xmas Game Pass Season N.01, the exclusive NFT collection on WAX designed by Intraverse on the occasion and dropped on the AtomicHub’s launchpad, went SOLD-OUT before the beginning of the tournament, for a total of 1100 passes sold!
Passes acted as score multipliers during the tournament, enabling holders to boost their score up to 7X and to increase their chances of winning higher prizes.
