Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI) has announced a new partnership with Unique Network and WalletConnect on the Polkadot blockchain. The collaboration, called DOTphin, will officially launch at Polkadot Decoded 2024. This initiative, which received strong community support through Polkadot OpenGov, aims to use NFTs to promote environmental sustainability.

Dynamic NFTs for Environmental Impact

DOTphin leverages dynamic NFTs, which evolve based on user interaction, creating a personalized and interactive experience. The main goal of these passes is to boost event engagement and create real-world ecological benefits. Moreover, the project turns event participation into an interactive journey, combining digital innovation with sustainability to make these crucial events more rewarding and engaging.

With an avatar attached to event passes, DOTphin NFTs are an eco-friendly dynamic multi-pass supporting biodiversity restoration. Each NFT avatar evolves as holders attend physical and digital events, encouraging community involvement and sustainability within the Polkadot ecosystem.

Launch at Polkadot Decoded 2024

The official launch of DOTphin will kick off with the distribution of eco-badges to attendees at Polkadot Decoded 2024 on July 11. These badges act as keys to claim unique DOTphin NFTs. Also, EthCC ticket holders can claim a free Decoded ticket and their first Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP) badge, starting a multi-event, multi-month journey supporting marine conservation efforts.

DOTphin also aligns with Polkadot’s reputation as a green blockchain with a low carbon footprint. Aimed at environmentally conscious users and investors, DOTphin showcases another innovative use of Polkadot technology and highlights blockchain’s global potential for positive environmental impact.

Dynamic Engagement and Ecological Benefits

Funds raised through these NFTs will support marine conservation, ensuring every digital action contributes to tangible ecological benefits. Furthermore, DOTphin holders can use the purpose-built REAL Portal to check the status of their NFT and track activities.

Currently, most ecological efforts are underfunded, relying heavily on donations from philanthropists, public institutions, and other donors.

The Sovereign Nature Initiative aims to reimagine the economics of ecology by securing funding and expanding projects that sustain our planet. Combining Web3 technology with ecological stewardship, DOTphin pioneers new uses for NFTs.

DOTphin will officially launch at Decoded on July 11 and will continue to be featured at eight additional blockchain events, including sub0, Token 2049, and DevCon.
