TADA, a leading ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia, has announced a strategic partnership with the TON (The Open Network) Foundation to integrate Web3 technology into its services. This collaboration introduces a new feature, TADA mini, which is a Telegram Mini App designed specifically for Web3 users. This new application enables customers to order a ride within Telegram without having to download or register for anything new.
Regarding payment, TADA mini allows users to pay for their rides employing TON network, including tokens such as $TON or $USDTTON. This integration will help give practical uses for digital assets to make it easier and more accessible to request and get a ride. With the help of TON blockchain, TADA seeks to improve the experience while expanding the audience to encompass a larger base.
To emphasize this new feature, TADA and TON are planning a special promotion during TOKEN2049 taking place from September 14th-18th. For the first 4,000 first tap-in riders in Singapore, their ride will be free of charge if they order via the TADA mini app. Moreover, riders who use the services after the first 4000 free riders will be able to take half price of the normal price being charged by the service providers.
TADA was established in 2018 and has been preferred mainly due to its no-commission policy. In this way, it ensures reasonable fare prices both for passengers and drivers. Present in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, the company intends to open its branch in Hong Kong by the end of 2024. This collaboration with TON Foundation is a giant leap towards adopting enhanced blockchain in the current services offered by TADA.
TON is the next-generation blockchain platform designed for speed and scalability allowing for millions of transactions effectively. The partnership with TADA is strategic in expanding the implementation of Web3 technology in real-world use cases, especially in ride-hailing services.
James Yang of MVL, the company that owns TADA, welcomed this partnership as it opens the door to begin integrating digital asset services into ride-hailing services. Harvey Kim, the Head of Korea at TON Foundation, agreed with this notion that such partnerships are crucial in mainstreaming Web3 and pushing for the growth of TON blockchain within Southeast Asia.
