io.net, a prominent GPU cloud ecosystem, has announced an exclusive strategic collaboration with Phala Network. According to io.net, the new partnership aims to improve decentralized artificial intelligence and secure computing by providing access to powerful GPU hardware through their cloud network, IO Cloud.
As a part of this collaboration, Phala’s capability to back Trusted Execution Environment CPU nodes. This endeavor will reportedly provide the relevant infrastructure to advance the computationally intensive decentralized applications. Phala Network reportedly depends on Nvidia H200 and H100 GPUs to drive the TEE technology thereof. The partnership between Phala Network and io.net will guarantee access to the respective necessary GPUs. They will establish the foundation of the decentralized AI forum of Phala.
Back in August this year, Phala unveiled the earliest benchmark in the case of TEE-enabled GPUs. In this respect, it set an exclusive standard regarding decentralized AI. The collaboration extends the Trusted Execution Environments to incorporate AI accelerators such as GPUs. As a result of this, the endeavor guarantees that sensitive AI workloads go through secure processing with cutting-edge cryptographic protections.
The H100 Tensor Core GPUs of Nvidia further improve the security layer of Phala. They are equipped with trustworthy computing features like secure boot and encrypted memory. The ability to reach Nvidia H200 and H100 GPUs facilitates IO Cloud to a great extent. This permits Phala to provide computational power essential for running and training big AI models like Microsoft Phi and LLaMA 3.
Since Phala Network’s mainnet launch, it has developed a resilient infrastructure including more than forty thousand TEE CPU nodes. With this, it lets web3 developers offload smart contract-related complicated computations to the secure off-chain network of Phala. These nodes contribute to maintaining the security and privacy of the data while offering verifiable oracles and proofs.
IO Cloud permits consumers to manage and deploy decentralized GPU collections on demand. It offers access to resilient GPU resources while requiring no complicated infrastructure management or high-price hardware investments. With this initiative, both Phala and io.net will organize research, benchmarking, and testing, commencing with the latest advanced NVIDIA H200s and H100s.
