Additionally, the upgrade reduces the block times to only 6 seconds, highlighting a 50% decrease from the previous 12 seconds. In this way, the network now offers rapid single-slot finality, enhancing user experience to a great extent. With this, the data throughput of nearly 1.33 MB/s leads toward additional community governance-led improvements. They include the likelihood of raising the block sizes to almost 8 MB/s for each six-second block.
