Gönül, who recently stated that secondary regulations regarding cryptocurrencies are coming very soon, announced in his statement today that the regulations will come out in January.
The CMB president also stated that the establishment and operating conditions of the platforms will be clarified in order to increase investor security.
“We are preparing and will issue secondary regulations regarding cryptocurrency platforms in January, hopefully.
We will cover topics such as how to establish these platforms and how to keep crypto investors safe.
When we say keeping it safe, we are working to ensure that the system is safe by determining the procedures and principles of working with custodians and platforms within its natural life. We determine the conditions for establishing the company and the conditions for making transactions. We are also working with TÜBİTAK and MASAK on all issues of how the security systems will be.”
