Bitget and Google Developer Group to host AI hackathon in Belgium, engaging 200 youth in blockchain and Web3 innovation.

Bitget has partnered with the Google Developer Group (GDG) to host a global hackathon aimed at connecting young developers with AI and blockchain solutions. The event is part of Bitget’s wider effort to expand its Blockchain4Youth initiative, which promotes education and career growth in Web3 and emerging technologies.

AI Accelerate Hack to Take Place in Belgium

The event, called AI Accelerate Hack, is scheduled for October 29, 2025, at KU Leuven in Belgium. Bitget and GDG will bring together 200 participants from diverse educational and professional backgrounds to build real-world applications using AI and blockchain.

According to the official announcement, the hackathon will last 10 hours and is designed to foster creativity and practical problem-solving. The theme is “Fueling fast-paced innovation through technology, business, and creativity.” Participants will work in teams to create tech-driven solutions and present their projects to a panel of judges.

This hackathon builds on the Blockchain4Youth program, which Bitget launched to support young people entering the Web3 and AI sectors. The program has previously included partnerships with organizations like UNICEF to train thousands of students globally.

Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth Initiative Expands Globally

Bitget’s initiative not only promotes education but also connects graduates directly to job opportunities within the blockchain sector. Its Graduate Program recruits top students and provides them with mentorship and international project exposure across more than 50 countries.

During the hackathon, Bitget will also introduce its Blockchain4Youth and Graduate Program through presentations and networking sessions. These events allow students to explore pathways into blockchain careers while learning from experienced professionals.

The company confirmed that it would continue expanding its educational outreach through similar events worldwide. The next planned event is the WAIB Summit AI x Web3 Hackathon, also in KU Leuven, set for November 2025.

Bitget and GDG Aim to Connect Technology With Real-World Use

Bitget’s Chief Operating Officer, Vugar Usi Zade, stated that these hackathons are essential for engaging students and early-career professionals. He noted that such initiatives help develop practical skills and community interaction.

Daniel Sparemblek, President of GDG KU Leuven, supported this approach. He said the collaboration helps bridge the gap between academic learning and solving real-world challenges using blockchain and AI.

The event is part of a broader trend in crypto adoption among youth. According to Bitget, countries like Nigeria, China, and India are leading in user growth. These programs aim to equip young talent to meet growing industry demand.
