October 24, 2025 — The crypto exchange sector showed renewed signs of growth and maturity in Q3 2025, as highlighted in TokenInsight’s latest Crypto Exchange Report. Among the standout performers was KuCoin, which not only solidified its position among the top five global exchanges by spot volume, but also gained visibility for its growing user base, regional expansion, and focus on compliance.

Total spot trading volume across centralized exchanges reached $2.13 trillion during the quarter, a 9.4% increase from Q2. KuCoin ranked fifth globally, handling over $100 billion in spot volume, and increasing its market share to 4.8%, up from 4.5% in the previous quarter.

Website traffic data placed KuCoin among the top five exchanges by user activity, with the platform demonstrating resilience in retaining traffic levels even during traditionally slower summer months. Alongside Binance and Bybit, KuCoin was one of the few platforms to avoid a drop in traffic during Q3, underscoring strong community engagement.

The report also draws attention to the increasing regulatory readiness among leading platforms. KuCoin was specifically recognized for advancing its compliance infrastructure, having recently obtained four key security and operational certifications: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and CCSS. These developments align with broader industry trends toward enhanced trust, transparency, and security.

Regionally, KuCoin’s performance stood out in several emerging markets. The exchange was ranked #1 in Turkish Lira trading volume, and maintained high engagement across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, complementing its presence in established markets such as Europe.
