X402 is an open payment protocol that is designed to allow AI agents to autonomously conduct digital transactions by connecting payments into standard HTTP interactions. Instead of relying on traditional API keys or other conventional subscription models, x402 enables efficient payments through API access.
Multiple blockchains, including Polygon and many others, are increasingly integrating x402 payment processing directly into their chains to enable autonomous payment interactions between services, bots, and agents.
However, many blockchains still lack EIP-3009 support, making such executions rigid. By functioning as a facilitator, Questflow addresses that complexity with a cross-chain facilitator infrastructure that supports EIP-3009, abstracts away token and gas compatibility, and manages all relayer logic.
Through its integration on Polygon, the Questflow x402 facilitator improves this blockchain network with immutable receipts, on-chain settlements, and verifiable transactions. Questflow’s incorporation enables AI agents on the Polygon network to engage efficiently with millions of users and service providers across the ecosystem, conducting payments that are verifiable, transparent, and rapid in real time.
This integration positions Questflow as a major facilitator of the x402 standard across the Polygon network, widening its commitment to make autonomous AI use cases useful and verifiable. The x402 protocol is a new permissionless standard that integrates payment functions directly into the structure of the web to support interconnected digital commerce. The new concept has revolutionized the traditional HTTP 402 “Payment Required” status code as a new method for AI agents, APIs, and websites to interact and execute payment settlements in real time.
