What Can We Expect from Bitcoin in the Coming Period? A Rise or a Fall? Glassnode Weighs In

In its latest report on the Bitcoin market, cryptocurrency analytics company Glassnode stated that despite strong bullish signals, a cautious consolidation period is also evident in the market.

According to the analysis, while Bitcoin’s price momentum increased by 4.8%, the Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) in spot markets recorded a remarkable rise of 199.1%. These figures indicate that strong buying pressure continues in the market.

However, a 13.8% drop in spot trading volume and a slight decline in the number of daily active addresses reinforce signals of market consolidation. Glassnode stated that this could be due to a temporary decrease in investor interest or a natural reaction to strengthening prices.

While a limited increase in open positions was observed in futures trading, this indicates continued market participation. At the same time, funding rates and perpetual CVD data reveal that leveraged investors are taking aggressive long positions, weakening expectations of a decline.

A more cautious outlook prevails in the options market. The decrease in demand for downside protection and the decline in open positions indicate profit taking or position closures; while the increase in volatility spreads suggests that investors expect higher price volatility in the coming period.

On-chain data showing an increase in adjusted transaction volume indicates renewed interest in the network and a potential rise in speculative activity. However, the decrease in total transaction fees points to a calmer and more balanced market environment. Liquidity indicators show a decrease in short-term speculative capital and a shift towards the dominance of long-term investors in the market.

On the profitability side, the improvement in the unrealized profit/loss ratio and the increase in the percentage of supply in profit indicate a decrease in negative sentiment across the market. Nevertheless, it does not appear that widespread profit-taking pressure has yet to materialize.

Based on all this data, Glassnode argued that the Bitcoin market has a balanced structure characterized by a combination of strong buying pressure, cautious investor behavior, and consolidation dynamics.
