Key Highlights
Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, recorded 989.5K daily active addresses in the past 24 hours, according to data from Santiment. The figure marked the highest single-day total since March.
Santiment charts covering the period from February through early August 2026 show active addresses fluctuating through the spring and summer before rising sharply on August 9. Network growth metrics also registered elevated readings during the same window. The increase in active addresses occurred while ETH traded within a relatively narrow range near $1,870.
At the same time, Ethereum opened at $1,917.68, reached a high of $1,932.34 and a low of $1,908.07 before closing at $1,908.07. At the time of this writing (as of 7:20 PM UTC), Ethereum traded near $1,875.80, down 2.33% over the previous 24 hours. Its market capitalization stood at approximately $226.37 billion, with 24-hour trading volume of about $9.1 billion.
According to the SosoValue data, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a net inflow of $245 million for the week of August 3 to August 7, extending a streak of five consecutive weeks of positive flows. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for the largest share of the weekly total, with approximately $203 million.
On August 10, Ethereum ETFs added a further net inflow of 29,900 ETH, valued at about $56.78 million. Cumulative net inflows into the products stood near $11.46 billion.
The ETF flows indicate continued demand for regulated Ethereum investment products, although they do not by themselves establish a direct link to the increase in daily active addresses.
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network that settles to Ethereum and uses ETH for gas, has contributed additional transaction volume since its public launch. Early data showed hundreds of millions of dollars in bridged ETH and elevated daily transaction counts.
The network’s activity contributes to Ethereum settlement and gas usage, although its impact on the broader increase in Ethereum daily active addresses is not established by the available data.
According to RWA.xyz data, distributed RWA value on Ethereum was recently in the range of $17 billion, representing a portion of the overall on-chain RWA market. Stablecoin transfer volumes on the network have remained in the hundreds of billions of dollars on a monthly basis.
Ethereum’s daily active addresses reached 989.5K on August 9, the highest level since March, while ETF inflows and activity across Layer-2 and other on-chain applications have remained elevated.
However, ETH traded near $1,875.80 on August 10, down 2.33% over 24 hours. The increase in on-chain activity has so far coincided with relatively subdued price performance, showing that higher network usage has not necessarily translated into a sustained increase in ETH’s market value.
