Aethir, the decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure, has launched the Aethir 2.0 update. This will further open more GPUs, prop up the AI and gaming industries, and radically change the token and governance structure.
Aethir 2.0 greatly increases the GPU resources available by adding new cloud hosts and staking partners worldwide. The adoption of NVIDIA H200 GPUs into the Web3 compute cycle situates the company at the forefront of decentralized GPU computing.
Today, the platform operates more than 384K GPUs, tripling the compute capacity and total compute hours provided since September 2024. Such exponential growth allows Aethir to satisfy the rising need for GPU computing in AI and gaming.
To achieve full transparency, the platform created what is known as “Revenue Online,” which shows the company’s revenue in real-time. In December 2024, it generated $7.6m in monthly recurring revenue, taking the annual run-rate ARR to $91m. These record-breaking numbers show the growing demand for decentralized GPU computing and its capability to meet that demand most efficiently.
Aethir has become the key player in AI assistance for development and has partnered with over 20 AI agents and leaders such as TopHat One, Humans.ai, and AI16z DAO. The platform ensures the provision of key computational assets for training and deploying AI to create breakthroughs.
The company invests in gaming via a $100 million Ecosystem Fund, Catalyst Grants, and TACOM Investment Fund. Aethir Edge enhances AI and gaming applications through its design, which places such applications close to the data source, thereby increasing their deployment and operation efficiency.
New features of Aethir 2.0 have been implemented, along with improvements to the token and governance models. Using the Sophon ZK Chain proves much cheaper and faster for every transaction, and expansion to LayerZero Core makes a multichain solution useful. Optimized staking protocols increase AETH rewards, and decentralized governance gives the community control over Aethir’s growth.
The new update offers premium decentralized GPU computing by implementing technological solutions, transparency, and powerful community construction. This upgrade marks a giant leap in innovation, cooperation, and expansiveness, setting the platform on top of the decentralized cloud computing shift.
