Historical figures showed that LIT remained 57.4% below its all-time high of $7.86. Its all-time low was $0.7794, placing the token 329.2% above that level. The seven-day trading range was $2.60 to $3.44, according to CoinGecko data at 16:54 UTC.

The surge coincided with an announcement from Chainlink about the expansion of its Asia-Pacific (APAC) Equities Streams, which now cover more than $40 trillion in equity markets across China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The November 3 announcement included Lighter among the platforms where the data streams are live. The feeds cover major companies such as TSMC, Tencent, Samsung, SK Hynix and BYD.

The expansion adds real-time equity market data feeds to the platforms supporting the service. However, the announcement does not establish that the development directly caused LIT’s price increase.

Lighter price momentum in late October

The latest move follows earlier volatility in late October. As reported earlier by The Crypto Times, on October 21, LIT rose nearly 20% to $3.83 after reports linked to the project’s third-quarter investor call.

Those reports said Lighter intended to apply for a United States license in November and was considering a possible integration with Robinhood’s U.S. platform, subject to regulatory approval. Details on the specific license type, exact submission timeline, and structure of any Robinhood arrangement were not provided in the available accounts.

Two days later, on October 23, the token declined 9.1% to $3.32. Market capitalization at that time was reported near $829 million, with a fully diluted valuation of about $3.255 billion.

At $3.35, LIT was trading slightly above its October 23 level but remained below the October 21 price peak.

Crypto market posts modest recovery after Binance incident

The global cryptocurrency market also recorded a modest recovery on Tuesday. Global crypto market capitalization rose 0.9% at 16:54 UTC, according to CoinGecko data.

The advance comes after a sharp sell-off on October 30, when the altcoin market turned lower following a $6.3 billion security incident at Binance. Unauthorized withdrawals from the exchange’s hot wallets prompted market concerns and contributed to selling pressure.

Global crypto market capitalization fell 3.32% to about $2.59 trillion on October 30 at 15:01 UTC, with Ethereum, BNB, XRP, and Solana among the tokens recording losses.

The latest gains in LIT and the broader market indicate a partial recovery from those declines.
