Backpack, a vertically integrated cryptocurrency and financial platform, has integrated its Solana-based tokenized stocks with CircuitAI, allowing users to include the assets in AI-managed portfolios that can automatically rebalance according to an investment strategy.
In an X post on October 26, Backpack confirmed that its tokenized stocks on Solana are supported on CircuitAI. The company described the integration as bringing 1:1 redeemability with agentic finance tools.
CircuitAI also confirmed the partnership, highlighting two features: the tokens are redeemable 1:1 for the underlying shares through Backpack Exchange, and there are zero minting and redemption fees.
CircuitAI users can describe an investment thesis, after which the platform’s agent constructs a portfolio that can include supported tokenized stocks. The system then applies automated rebalancing based on the selected strategy.
How the tokenized stocks work
Backpack’s tokenized stocks operate on Solana and are designed to provide exposure to underlying shares. According to CircuitAI, holders can redeem the tokens for the corresponding shares on a one-to-one basis through Backpack Exchange.
CircuitAI also said the integration carries no minting or redemption fees. The platform’s tools allow users to construct and manage portfolios without manually adjusting allocations after setting their initial investment thesis.
Tokenized securities activity expands across markets
The integration comes as companies and regulators pursue tokenized securities initiatives across different markets.
Three companies have notified the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that they intend to operate platforms for trading tokenized securities under the agency’s Innovation Exemption.
According to the SEC’s official list last updated on October 21, the firms are TSV LLC, which submitted its notice on September 23; OKXICE TSV, which submitted on October 4; and Kephas Corporation, operating as Perpetuals.com, which submitted on October 14. Perpetuals.com has not announced a launch date, the initial stocks it plans to offer, or the blockchain it intends to use.
In South Korea, the Financial Services Commission proposed new rules on October 1, 2026, for securities issued and traded using distributed ledger technology. The proposed revisions cover regulations under the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act and the Electronic Registration Act.
The framework would allow traditional securities, including stocks, bonds, and funds, to be issued and circulated in tokenized form. It would also address certain fractional investment securities.
These developments reflect parallel regulatory and market steps in different jurisdictions related to the issuance and trading of tokenized securities. Backpack’s integration with CircuitAI adds an offering that combines tokenized equity exposure with automated portfolio management.
